My first month writing on Medium
Although I have been a writer for Medium for many years, I used the app mostly for reading. In September, I started publishing articles. Here is how it went.
From September 1st to September 18th, I published 14 articles eligible for payroll. However, I was called into surgery on the 19th, therefore I was not able to write the last 2 weeks of the month, as I wanted to focus on recovering.
Of the 14 articles, 5 were published with a publication.
The other 9 were not published in a publication.
Here is what I earned from those 14 articles
I am very pleased with this outcome. As I earned over $10, I could be paid in October, instead of being rolled out to the next month. With 14 articles earning me $13 — it averages to roughly every article earning me just under $1 which is a great starting point.
What have I learnt?
