The Time Has Finally Come- I Am Making Medium My Full-Time Job

After five years, I finally have the opportunity and TIME to do so

I started writing on Medium in August 2019, and since then, I have had two children, completed a Master’s degree, and been exhausted trying to balance motherhood and student life.

I would pop in and out of the Medium app, reading articles and dreaming about the day I could dedicate my time to writing and earning a full-time income, and now MY time has come.

I understand not every writer here makes it as a successful writer on Medium with a full-time income, but I WILL get there. How do I know I will be successful? because

I am manifesting it

I am definitely more of a dreamer than a realist, but who has ever got far in life by being a realist?

When I started my Masters, I had a six-month-old and a 2-year-old and was advised that it may not be the right time to go into higher education, but I still applied and worked my ass off!

I had to defer my studies twice, the first time due to the death of my late father (may he rest in peace), and the second time was for me to have surgery to have my gallbladder removed — but I have come out on the other side successful (slightly traumatised at the death of my father and with one less organ than when I started). Still, if that’s not an inspiration, I don’t know what it is.

I am so excited about this journey and cannot wait to delve into this head first. So you will be hearing a lot from me because I have a lot to say!
